Celtic 6th 1, St. Bernadine Varsity 1 (Final)
Jonathan Hamilton got the Celtics on the board with a goal early in the 3rd quarter. However, the Lightning tied the game in the 4th quarter. Celtic defender Dillon Shouse blocked a crucial shot late in the 4th quarter to keep the scored knotted at 1-1. The game ended in a 1 to 1 tie. The Celtic 6th grade is now 1-0-1 on the season.
August 30th
Celtic 6th 2, St. Vincent JV 1 (Final)
Brendan O'Brien scored the Celtics first goal of the season, and Luis Corona scored the game winner late in the second quarter. The Celtic 6th grade improved their record to 1-0 for the season.
Celtic Varsity 3, St. Vincent Varsity 2 (Final)
The Celtic Varsity had goals from Andrew Ciszek, Ryan Immordino, and Michael Smyla. Andrew Ciszek made 7 crucial saves in the 3rd and 4th quarters to preserve the win for the Celtic Varsity. The Celtic Varsity improved their record to 1-0 for the season.
All parents are encouraged to attend Athletic Committee Meetings which take place at 7 pm in the Lower Meeting Room on the following Tuesdays this school year:
