Jump and Hoops for the American Heart Association

YEAR 2009-2010
The week of April 19th through 23rd, 2010, the students will be participating in a “Hoops for Heart and Jump Rope for Heart” fundraiser for and sponsored by the American Heart Association. The activities will be done that week in the student’s gym classes. The envelopes supplied by the Heart Association were distributed to the students the last week in March 2010. All donations (pledges and money) will be put in these envelopes and returned to the school in April which will then go directly to the American Heart Association for research, education, etc. Students will receive their “Thank you gifts” from the Heart Association after all money is turned in and items sent to us are sorted. Thank you for your donations!!!

February 2-6, 2009
During the week of February 2-6, the students were participating in the Hoops/Jump Rope for Heart during their P.E. classes. Activities were being done on a rotating basis with students at stations. Grades 1-4 were doing Jump Rope activities and grades 5-8 were doing hoops and rope activities. The students were getting sponsors to help raise funds for the Heart Association for all the activities they did that week. The students collected the money from their sponsors and returned it to school. We then turned it over to the American Heart Association as our donation for research and education.
